- Follow them up with a vist
Get your money into place!
- Get your mortgage in place (in principal)
- Make sure you understand all the costings, so that nothing comes to you as a suprise
Legal advice
- Line up a solicitor
Research
- Research the area you’re interested in buying in
- What amenities do you require, schools, shops, transport
Viewings
- Be flexible with times and days (you may miss out if someone sees the property before you)
- View the property more than once
- Give the agent feedback
- Have an open mind
Making an offer
- Let the agent know your position “mortgage ready” “no chain” “first time buyer”
- If you really want the property try to not offer too low, this may the seller
Offer being accepted
- Have your solicitor in place
- Arrange for a survey to be done as this is what usually delays the process
